One Year Old today

I have been alive for a year today. KnK dressed me up in a silly hat and put a birthday cake in front of me for the picture and told me to look happy. Well, would you?
I have had a good time in my first twelve months, I have seen Lake Eyre with water in it, seen Parliament House in Canberra, crossed desserts, been in floods, climbed mountains and played in rivers. I have 78 points towards my show title and would have had a CCD in obedience if I had not come in season just before the trials. Not every day was good. There was the time I got bitten by an insect and my face was swollen, then I got my foot stuck in a chair and could not walk for a day, and there was the time the mad dog attacked me at Tailem Bend, but overall my first year has been a good time.

Horses

We went for a drive to Seaspray, which is a seaside town near Sale, to look at the Ninety Mile Beach, but it was so hot we did not stay long. These horses were near the car park and I stopped to have a chat and a sniff. I tried to get them to play, but all they did was look at me then continued to eat grass. They must have had a really crook stomach to eat all that grass.
I am having the last few days of my adventure, moving on every day, and should be home about Wednesday.

The Dog from Snowy River

Here I am at the McKillop Bridge over the Snowy River. The surrounding area is National Park, so I had to stay on the road and in the car. The animals in the National Park are frightened of dogs, and just the scent of me could upset them, so I have to stay out of the parks. Its a bit sad really, because the only thing that I have ever bitten is my dinner so they should not be afraid of me.
When we were clear of the park I had a run near the Buchan River and got wet chasing pebbles that Keith threw.

Orbost

It finally stopped raining and we have moved on. The pic shows me at a rest stop between Eden and Orbost where we stopped for lunch.
I had another dose of the anti-tick medicine because we are still in paralysis tick country. It leaves a greasy stain on the back of my neck that I can not reach to give it a good licking, and it makes me feel a bit depressed. I did make up for it though, because KnK went to a restaurant and left me in the car, so I ate a packet of crown mints. That really gave me a sugar rush and I was up all night playing. They won't leave me alone in a car again.

Rainy Sunday.

The Sapphire Coast Saturday show was wet. It rained, then rained some more. I was so wet I had to shake the water off me in the show ring, see pic. Kathy was wet through, water was running over everything, yet I still got Best of Breed. This takes me to 78 points towards my Champion title, but I need 25 points after my first birthday so I can not get any more until March. This is a relief because the Sunday show started at 8:30 am and it was still raining, so I did not have to go.
Instead we got up late, went for a walk to the beach and back during a break in the rain, and had a day drying out, or trying to dry out. Its still raining and the forecast is for more rain. I will just have to stretch out on my bed and catch up on my sleep!

72 points

72 points towards my title. We have two more shows to do then we come home. The pic shows the moment the judge pointed to first place and made me Best of Breed, at the Sapphire Coast Friday show.
I have been designated a Princess. Today it was raining heavily when we got up and when Keith took me out for my morning walk, I stuck my nose out of the annex and promptly went back in side. You should not let a human out in weather like that! Anyway, after that Keith keeps calling me Princess Tiffany.
Got to go, getting ready for show number 2.

Tiffany the Tourist

Tilba Tilba is a little village set up for tourist. We went for a walk along the street and stopped for the photo of me outside the Internet Cafe. We spent the day looking at the little villages and beaches along the coast, and where there was a sign that said dogs could go on them we went for a walk up the beach. KnK collect sea glass for Auntie Wendy, but the funny thing is there is no glass on the dog beaches. Does this mean dog owners are more environmentally friendly? or does it mean the drunks only go to non-dog beaches?

The dog shows start on Friday so we have one more day as a tourist then it is back to the grind. I have to get all prettied up and behave all day just for the show.

Hopefully I will get the 100 points soon and can retire.
